Disable Auto Shutoff When Performing Tone Test
« on: June 12, 2017, 03:08:22 pm »
When attempting to locate cables using the tone functionality I commonly run into the issue where the pockethernet has turned off due to loss of bluetooth connection. It would make the device more usable if either:
a.) The auto shutoff was disabled when using the tone test
or
b.) There was an option to disable auto shutoff globally

Thanks

Also, it would be great if there was also the longer press to turn on the Pockethernet/ similar to turn off to prevent accidental power up and battery drain.

Noted. Will talk with Zoltan about including this.

Just talked this through with Zoltan, of course leaving your phone at the unit would be a (not ideal) workaround for this. We could disable it when you turn on the toner, but we'll need to look into it a bit to see how easy it would be to implement this.
