Remote Cable End Identifier
« on: May 26, 2017, 11:15:22 AM »
Often I just need to identify a cable end in a remote location, working alone or with a partner, I imagine a small plug like the wiremap/loopback terminator with an LED that blinks in a distinctive pattern when plugged in to the Pockethernet whilst running a "Identify Cable" test function.

I have a device that does this - an analogue cable tester, but it would be great to have this work with my Pockethernet so I just need one tool.

If you add the feature to the App you could perhaps supply a circuit diagram for the simple circuit needed at the receiving end so users could build the hardware themselves?

(I emailed this a while ago, I am posting here having found this forum  :) )
