IPv6 support?
« on: October 10, 2016, 11:24:36 AM »
Hello,

it would be great to have IPv6-Support for this device. That would make troubleshooting IPv6-related things quite a bit easier.

Thank you

Alf

Hi Alf. We have this on the feature list but most likely this will not come very soon.

Hi, since this device got my attention I would like to know if there is a timeline for the IPv6 support and
where I can find the previously mentioned feature list / backlog. Thanks Thilo

Just a quick thoughts on what is need to have "IPv6" tests. To my mind it's not that trivial compared to "DHCP for IPv4":

- link-local address
- router advertisements flags (managed, other, ...)
- router advertisement prefixes
- router advertisement RDNSS option
- GUA address via RA (if used by the router)
- GUA address via stateful DHCPv6 (if enabled)
- DNS server via stateless DHCPv6 (if enabled)

Hoping that these features will come into the Pockethernet soon, since some customers are really starting to use IPv6...
